- Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask this.
- Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments!
- But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
- Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
